Jowls
As young as our mid to late twenties we can start to lose lovely, plump fatty tissue in the mid face which supports our facial structures, height and skin.

In our mid 30s this because more clinically detectable. This results in skin falling centrally and down which leads to the deepening of our naso-labial folds (smile lines). As we lose more volume from different areas, skin is further unsupported, and therefore falls forward, leading to sagging and contributing to the formation of marionette lines and jowls.
effects of
aging
The Mayfield Clinic by Dr Nestor has studied these changes for years and tailored treatments to each person’s facial shape and structure. By restoring lost volume, in a very specific way and location, we can lift skin. We can now restore cheek height to its former glory and position. We can re-define a jawline, bringing back its natural contours, softening jowls through treatments such as fillers and injectables that weaken muscles pulling facial structures down, and EMFace up-regulating muscle lifting structures.
How does BOTOX work for jowls?
During the procedure, a small amount of purified Botulinum Toxin Type A is injected into facial muscle bellies of the area(s) being treated. The toxin works by temporarily blocking the nerve signals that cause muscle contractions, thereby relaxing the muscles and reducing the appearance of wrinkles and lines. Results last on average, four months.
EMFace treatment
EMFACE can help improve tone of the facial muscles which elevate a face as well as the digastric muscles under the chin. At the same time is can tighten skin by increasing collagen content and lastly help to destroy fat under the chin, given a better profile and jaw line.
If you’d like to discuss non-surgical reconstruction of the chin to help with jowls or find out if you’re a suitable candidate for chin filler, book a consultation with one of our doctors who will talk you through everything
