Dr Victoria Scott-Lang is an experienced Consultant Dermatologist, with over 20 years of international experience in the UK, New Zealand and UAE.
Known for her expertise and patient centred care, Dr Victoria is well-known as a trusted and in-demand dermatologist offering diagnosis and treatment for a full range of skin, hair and nail conditions.
For the past six years, she has been in private practice in Dubai, gaining valuable experience across different health systems and expanding her global perspective. After 11 years of incredible experiences working abroad, she’s now returned home to Scotland with her husband and three children and is delighted to join the team at The Mayfield Clinic Edinburgh.
Dr Victoria treats the full spectrum of dermatological diseases and has particular expertise in skin cancer screening and treatment (surgical and non-surgical); severe acne and acne scarring; melasma, biologic therapies for severe atopic dermatitis and psoriasis; and all types of hair loss, including androgenetic alopecia. She also treats babies and children, and enjoys this aspect of her job particularly.
Dr Victoria’s rigorous training combined with her expertise and passion for her job means that she is highly skilled in treating the most severe skin diseases and the more common conditions experienced by babies, children and adults alike.

Dr Victoria Scott-Lang is an experienced Consultant Dermatologist, with over 20 years of international experience in the UK, New Zealand and UAE. Dr Victoria is well-known as a trusted and in-demand dermatologist offering diagnosis and treatment for a full range of skin, hair and nail conditions.
Originally from Scotland, Consultant Dermatologist Dr Victoria Scott-Lang graduated from the University of Aberdeen School of Medicine in 2003. She began her medical career in internal medicine, becoming a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in 2006. She undertook further training and became board-certified as a Consultant in Family Medicine (MRCGP) in 2009. Following this, she completed competitive dermatology registrar training in Edinburgh in 2014, and is board-certified Consultant Dermatologist on the UK specialist register.
After qualifying in the UK, Dr Victoria spent five years in New Zealand, working in both a large public hospital and private practice. She served as Head of Dermatology
at Christchurch Hospital, the tertiary referral centre for the South Island, treating complex cases in both adults and children.
