Lesion Removal
Lesion removal is a medical procedure performed to remove abnormal growths or skin lesions from the body. Lesions can include moles, cysts, skin tags, warts, and other growths that may be benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous). Lesion removal is typically done for diagnostic purposes, cosmetic reasons, or to prevent potential health risks associated with the lesion.
Surgical excision involves cutting out the lesion and surrounding tissue using a surgical scalpel. Cryotherapy involves freezing the lesion with liquid nitrogen to destroy the abnormal cells. The lesion may blister and eventually fall off as the skin heals.
